E-Statement: Innovation Continues
Cutting-edge technology and the combination of speed, accuracy and customer service results in the introduction of E-Statements. Iowa Falls State Bank is pleased to be the first local bank to provide this service to its customers. E-Statement is an electronic version of your statement with images available online via our secure site. You can view and print your statement right from your computer. An email will notify you that your statement is ready for viewing. "This is truly an innovative tool for clients needing month-end statements immediately" says Ellen Toomsen, Senior Vice President and Project Leader. "Customers can now avoid the wait for traditional mail and end paper clutter. This again is Iowa Falls State Bank taking the lead in using technology to provide excellent customer service.".

From the Credit Corner: Protect yourself from Abusive Mortgage Lending
News reports of financial abuse, particularly in the home mortgage market, have become increasingly commonplace. It's important for consumers to seek a trusted, well established lender and be armed with the information needed to recognize a good loan from a bad one. Otherwise, you could end up paying too much or even losing your home.
Be cautious of lenders that seek you out first.
If you have good credit, beware of loans with an interest rate higher than the current average rate. If you have poor credit, discuss with you lender the pricing of loans having an interest rate three points higher than the current average mortgage rate.
Be sure the terms on the mortgage are the terms you agreed to before closing, and do not be pressured into signing "new deals" at closing.
If information is added after you have signed a document, you may still be responsible. Cross out any blanks or insert "N/A" (not applicable).
Don't let anyone convince you to borrow more money than you need or more than you can afford to repay.
If you have questions about what kind of mortgage you have, kindly contact Doug Truex, or Brian Knoll, or call 1-888-866-8166
